ARTIST STATEMENT
The endless search of capturing nature either in the morning light, the sparkle in someone’s eyes or even the quiet breeze that barely touches the bay, gives me reason to yearn for the stroke of my brush.
Looking at my work through the years one would agree that I am an eternal student. I love to research, experiment and create by continuing to challenge myself. My artwork is influenced by a life of travels and these experiences have inspired me to explore different forms and visual languages, from abstraction to Byzantine iconography.
While I visit annually the island of Poros in Greece it gives me a great opportunity to work in plain air, I attempt to capture it's magical light, textures, and compositions at the magnificent landscape of the country, inspiring me endlessly.
